A scientific calculator extends a basic calculator with mathematical functions used in science, engineering, and mathematics. Beyond the four arithmetic operations, it provides trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan), logarithms, exponents, roots, factorials, and constants like π and e. Angle Modes Explained

Degrees (DEG): The most familiar mode. A full circle = 360°. Used in everyday geometry and most high school math.
Radians (RAD): The natural unit for angles in mathematics and physics. A full circle = 2π radians. Required for calculus and most programming math functions.
Gradians (GRAD): Less common — a full circle = 400 gradians. Used in surveying and some European engineering fields. A right angle = 100 gradians.

Order of Operations

This calculator respects standard mathematical order of operations (BODMAS/PEMDAS): Brackets first, then Exponents, then Multiplication and Division (left to right), then Addition and Subtraction (left to right). Use parentheses to force a specific evaluation order.

Memory Functions

M+: Adds the current displayed value to memory.
M−: Subtracts the current displayed value from memory.
MR: Pastes the stored memory value into the current input.
MC: Clears memory back to zero. The M indicator disappears.
